Jensen Healey HSCC 70's road going sports car
Jensen Healey 2 litre sport car built to race in HSCC 70's Road going sports car and Scottish Motor club Historic races.
1974 car Lotus 907 2 lire engine ready to go and race.
The Jensen ran in the HSCC 70's Road sports championship during 2008,2009 and 2010 and has run in SMRC and BARC events in 2011 and 2012 but could also be used in various other championships, it is currently prepared strictly in line with SMRC regulations.
The period and appropriate Lotus Engine was originally built by Ken Brown - Compsport (engine builder for Skip Brown Cars - Lotus Sunbeam specialist) and rebuilt by Brayon Classic Engineering in 2012.
The original specification was fully lightened and balanced, large valve gas flowed head,bronze guides, race springs ARP rod bolts, lotus stretch head bolts. Forged 11.5:1 pistons Kent cams BCF2 inlet L2 exhaust. Heavy duty engine mounts. Electronic ign. Tubular ex. manifold, custom built 2 1/4" system, 6pt Accusump direct to main oil gallery.
Aluminium catch tank, 16 row oil cooler. Special race clutch (re-linable plate). 5 speed Getrag box, custom made 3" diameter 1 pce propshaft, 3.7:1 final drive.
Front suspension rebuilt all new joints, competition bushes, modified for adjustable front camber custom made springs. GAZ adjustable shocks. New calipers and discs 2010 with EBC race pads. Rear modified for 2 1/4" springs, adjustable Koni shocks. 6 x Yokohama A048 dry tyres, 4 x Yokohama A021 wets.
Custom built weld-in roll cage, Kirkey ally seat. Plumbed in Extinguisher, Brake bias adjuster, redtop fuel pump and Filter King.
2011- Refresh of the specification to include all new Gel battery, new ATL fuel tank, 5 new Minilite wheels, Two Kirkey Seats, rain light, transponder, Window rubbers, pull cables, Webber 45 carburettors (rejetted on rolling road 200 BHP at the flywheel), large bore exhaust (custom made by Tony Law exhausts), brake cylinders, indicators front and side, Momo Prototipo quick release steering wheel, harnesses.
2012 - Engine rebuild by Brayon Classic Engineering rejetted on rolling road Dyno'd at 200 BHP at the flywheel with a considerable increase in torque, (one race weekend since the rebuild), bespoke brake conversion by Hi Spec Motorsport.
